I think I’ll get the processor today, and order everything else during Independance weekend. Yeah, it’s a bit of a wait, but that sounds like a good idea.

Get New Leaf’s Best Buy DLC without leaving home

Best Buy has a set of exclusive Animal Crossing: New Leaf items you can grab via StreetPass if you visit the retailer’s locations. Not everyone has a Best Buy nearby (and not everyone wants to visit the store), though, so here’s a workaround posted by Link.

You’ll need to do some fiddling with your router:

1. Change the SSID on your router to “Bestbuy” — this is case sensitive, so make sure it looks just like that without the quotes (you can also use tethering on your cell phone)
2. Make sure you can connect to it via your wifi settings
3. You should get an indicator on your 3DS homescreen signaling that you’re connected to a Nintendo Zone
4. You do NOT need to load up Nintendo Zone; simply boot up New Leaf, go to the post office, and ask Pelly for your present to grab the DLC

White (three things about personality): I make more jokes when I’m telling people about my problems, I have to restrain myself from cussin’ and junk when I play single player videogames, and I am most peaceful when cooking and listening to music.

Purple (ten things about my room):

1. There’s a door to the backyard and my friends are nervous about that sometimes
2. I hang all of my rad posters with magnets, but I gotta redo it soon because the magnets are getting weak
3. I do things I shouldn’t in my room, such as soldering things and dremeling things
4. I’ve had my chest of drawers since I was a baby and it doubled as a changing station of sorts, I’ve since ‘converted’ it into a hidden storage space
5. A long time ago, my mom painted it green. The paint she got was too dark, so she used some white paint to lighten it. But wait, there’s more! Using that one shade of green and different mixes of white paint, she made one wall look really cool, because it’s different green stripes. She’s super clever when it comes to stuff like that.
6. My carpet is also green.
7. The bookcase I own is kinda crappy.
8. I control the internet for the entire house because the router is in my room.
9. There used to be candy, but now there’s no candy
10. My room has a lot of crap in it.
